About
A game of numbers
Having 10+ years experience in administration, I wanted to pursue a more specific path.
I began freelance bookkeeping in 2016, first as a subcontractor for a local CPA, then getting clients independently but it wasn't until 2018 that I felt I had learned enough to go from "side gig" to "business". I dive into entrepreneurship and eventually, Rockies Bookkeeping was born.
The part of being a virtual bookkeeper that I enjoy most is when I get to be that “right hand” to my clients who are really great at their particular craft, but really do not like, or do not know how, to manage their business books. It is such a great feeling to know that I am a part of their success.
Bookkeeping gives companies a reliable measure of business performance. It also provides information to make general strategic decisions and a benchmark for its revenue and income goals. In short, once a business is up and running, spending extra time and money on maintaining proper records is critical.
Many small companies don’t actually hire full-time accountants to work for them because of the cost. Instead, small companies generally hire a bookkeepers. One important thing to note here is that many people who intend to start a new business sometimes overlook the importance of matters such as keeping records of every penny spent.
